1. What does this policy cover?
This policy describes how the Ministry of Tourism (referred to as “we”, “us” or “MT”) will make use of your personal data when you interact with us through our website, and all of our webpages, subdomains and subsections of the platform. It also outlines your data protection rights, including the right to object to some of the ways we process data. This policy applies to both children and adults; however, the consent to collect, process and share children’s personal data shall be provided by a guardian.

MT collects and processes personal data about you when you interact with MT’s platform or if you interact with MT in person, and/or when you share personal profile details such as user name, full name, national ID, email, phone number, notification and language preferences, or through any other documentation you upload.
3. How do we collect your personal data?
Most of the personal data we collect and process are data that you personally and directly provide MT with. We collect and process your personal data when you register your file or submit any form or request on MT’s platform, or when you interact with it. MT also receives personal information indirectly from a variety of sources such as MT partners, public entities, and third parties.

MT collects your personal data so we can use in:

6. On which legal basis do we process your personal data?
MT processes your personal data as permitted by applicable data privacy laws and MT’s internal policies, including but not limited to, MT Personal Data Protection Policy, NDMO Personal Data Protection Policy, and GDPR.
7. How do we store your personal data?
MT securely stores your personal data in its database in Riyadh as well as in other local and integrated systems. This data is protected using the best industry standards and kept on MT's systems. It is not saved or deleted unless requested or when necessary. MT will keep your personal data for as long as it is required, and once that time has passed, we will immediately remove it from our data sources without undue delay except where we are legally obliged by law to further store your data.
8. What are your personal data protection rights?
MT would like to make sure that users are fully aware of all of their personal data protection rights. Subject to MT regulations and policies, each user is entitled to the following rights:
- The right to be informed – You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data.
- The right to access – You have the right to view, and request a copy of, your personal data.
- The right to rectification – You have the right to request MT to correct or update inaccurate or outdated personal data.
- The right to erasure – You have the right to request your personal data to be deleted, under certain conditions, provided that personal data deletion do not impact or affect MT operations or personal data collection purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent – You have the right to withdraw previously given consent to process your personal data.
- The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request to restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data; and
- The right to data portability – You have the right to request your personal data to be transferred to another entity, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
